Ultra-Fast Analysis pack for sensitive detection of coliform in water Surface Samples

We developed a protocol designed to assist you with the detection of microorganisms in surface water samples. This 'plug and play' pack comes complete with all materials needed to detect and quantify fecal bacteria from 100 mL water in less than 30 minutes using qPCR on Chronos.


The process begins with filtering the sample to eliminate inhibitors and potential analytical interferences. The target genetic material is captured on a filter, facilitating nucleic acid extraction. The RT-qPCR kit designed to detect and quantify Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Enterococci (faecalis and faecium) is then used to perform an ultra-fast qPCR with Chronos™.

The starter kit includes the protocol file, Chronos™, Chronos™ Control Test, Chronos™ Control Chips, Filtration Ramp, Tweezers, Mini Centrifuge, µWave Lyser Pack and a Sample Preparation Pack for Water Surface (25 reactions).

The Sample Preparation Pack for Water Surface (25 reactions) includes RT-qPCR lysis and reactives tubes, Chronos™ Chips RUO, Syringes, Syringe Filters, Membrane Filters and disposable filter funnels.
